Universidad Católica Bolivia « San Pablo » is the official name of the Bolivian Catholic University. It is the oldest private university in Bolivia. Established in La Paz in 1963 and active from 1966, the university now has four regional units: La Paz, Cochabamba, Tarija and Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Its first academic offering in 1966 was a degree course in Business Management and Economics, based in the La Paz unit. This was followed in 1971 by Philosophy in the Cochabamba unit. Currently it recruits in a number of disciplines in the social sciences.
