Universidad Centroamericana (UCA)

The Central American University (UCA) is the first private university created in Central America. It was founded in Nicaragua by the Society of Jesus on July 23, 1960, as a non-profit, autonomous educational institution of public service and Christian inspiration.

The UCA is part of the Association of Universities Entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America (AUSJAL), constituted by 31 universities in 14 countries of the region and integrated into the network of Higher Education institutions of the Jesuits in Europe, Asia and U.S.
