The European University of Rome (UER) is a private university, legally recognized, founded in 2005 by the Catholic Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ. The university offers degree courses in economics, psychology and law, in the fields of primary education and tourism.

Locations and structures

Through its own organization, established in 2007 and called « European University Foundation » (with its registered office in Via degli Aldobrandeschi 190 in Rome), the University financially manages the development of institutional and educational activities.

It is part of an international network of universities founded by the aforementioned Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ with offices in Mexico, Spain and Chile.

In 2009 the European University of Rome was admitted by the European Commission to the Jean Monnet program.

In 2013, the Department obtained an excellent result in the evaluation of the research of the Anvur, ranking in fifth place among the small universities for the legal area and in the ninth place in the general classification.
