Visitors

Guests are always welcome to the University. In case you are using public transport, buses (coasters) to Masaka, found in the Kampala New Taxi Park, are the most recommended to board. Kayabwe trading centre, one kilometre after the Equator Sign, is where you will alight. Boda Bodas (motorcycles) or a taxi will get you to the main campus.A three-kilometer murram road links the Campus and the main road at Kayabwe.

A small guest house is available, and it is advised that you make arrangements for accommodation prior to your visit. The campus warden, who is in charge of accomodation, can be reached at;

UMU, whose main campus is located adjacent to the Equator (82 kms west of Kampala - the capital city of Uganda along the Kampala - Masaka road) has a well-kept campus that is environment-friendly and conducive to study, offering an ideal place for reading, learning, and reflection.

Places you can visit

UMU Campus lies on the equator. This location gives you relatively easy access to several places of interest. While you are here at the University, arrangements can be made to travel to places such as:
- the Equator crossing and market on Masaka Road;
- the largest and only crocodile farm in Uganda at Katebo on Lake Victoria;
- the Mpanga Forest reserve for camping, nature trails, and walks;
- Ggolo landing site is an ideal site for camping and weekend picnics;
- Sand Beach Nabugabo, a natural and beautiful lakeside resort is worth visiting too.

Other interesting places in Uganda that you can visit include; the national parks Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth for game drives and birdwatching. The source of the Nile in Jinja has captivating scenery and is perfect for camping. The Ssese islands on Lake Victoria are famous for their fresh and unique vegetation, and many more.
