Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) is in the process of opening up UMU Mbale Campus in Eastern Uganda based at  St. Austin Communication Center in Mbale town.

Applications are now invited for the September 2010 in take for the following courses:

 Diploma in Computer Science Evening 

Credit passes in Mathematics and English at UCE (0' level,

One principle pass at UACE (A' level)

Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (Specialisations: Management and Marketing,

Procurement and Finance and Accounting)

 Day and eveningA minimum of two (2) principal passes in the Uganda Advanced Certifi­cate
of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting, or its equivalent and a credit in Mathematics at Ordinary Level Certificate.  Work experience will be an added advantage.
 Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Development Studies  Day and evening  A minimum of two (2) principal passes in the Uganda Advanced Certifi­cate
of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting, or its equivalent. Work experience will be an added advantage.
  Master of Arts in Development Studies Weekend 

 A 2nd Class Honors Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University or in exceptional circumstances professional qualification may be required.

Prospective Master’s students will be admitted only if they pass Uganda Martyrs University Graduate Admission Test (GAT).

  Master of Business Administration and Management

Weekend 

 A 2nd Class Honors Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University or in exceptional circumstances professional qualification may be required.

Prospective Master’s students will be admitted only if they pass Uganda Martyrs University Graduate Admission Test (GAT).

 

 

The deadline for receiving applications is Friday 28th June 2010 for undergraduate and Monday 17th May 2010 or June 18th 2010 for postgraduate applicants. Postgraduate Applicants will sit a Graduate Admission Test on Saturday 29th May 2010 at 9:00 a.m or Tuesday 29th June 2010 at UMU-Nkozi Main Campus.

Application forms can be obtained either from the Registrar's Office in Nkozi, or the UMU Kampala Office located at the Uganda Catholic Social Training Centre-Rubaga or from UMU Mbale Campus Assistant Registrar at St. Austin Catholic Parish. Application forms can also be downloaded from our web site http://www.fiuc.org/umu/ In this case, the application fee will have to be paid before the application can be processed. Application forms and programme information can be obtained from the UMU Centres (Arua, Soroti, Masaka, Mbarara, Lira, Mbale and Kabale) or from the Catholic Diocesan Education Secretaries.

Application fee: for undergraduate programmes is Fifteen Thousand Shillings (UGX 15000), and Twenty Five Thousand Shillings (UGX 25,000) for postgraduate programmes and should be paid in the bank using UMU pay slips.
