The Department of Good Governance and Peace Studies, is offering two new full time courses, which will commence in August 2010 in the academic year 2010/2011. The courses are:
- Master of Arts in Sustainable Peace and Conflict Management (1 year)
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Local Government Administration (1 year)
Applications for the above courses are received from suitable candidates with a first degree with Upper Second or its equivalent in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Social Work and Social Administration and other relevant studies.
The Department is still receiving applications for the following other courses in the Department which are all on Distance Learning programme. They are:
- Diploma in Local Governance and Human Rights (2 years)
- Bachelor of Arts in Local Governance and Human Rights(4 years)
- Master of Arts in Local Governance and Human Rights (3 years)
Entry Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor Programme
A minimum of O’ Level with working experience in the relevant field
Two A’ Level Principal Passes, with at least two years working experience in a relevant field
Master’s Programme (3 years)
1st degree in a relevant field e.g. Development Studies, Social Sciences, Social Work and Social Administration… etc.
How to Apply:
Application Forms can be obtained from the Registrar’s office in Nkozi, or from our Kampala Office, at the Uganda Catholic Social training Centre—Rubaga. An application Fee of 25,000shs for MA programmes and 15,000shs for Diploma/Bachelor programme must be paid prior to obtaining the form. Application forms and course information can also be got from the Uganda Martyrs University Centres upcountry. These are: Kabale center, Moyo center, Mbale center, Soroti, center, Mbarara Centre, Nyamitanga. Inquire about the current fees structure can be done from the same offices. All Applications should be forwarded to the Registrar not later than Friday 18th May 2010. Those who will be admitted must attend the orientation and introductory workshop. For Enquiries contact:
