The MSc Information Systems (MSc IS) degree offered by the Faculty of Science, Uganda Martyrs University is an interdisciplinary Master of Science program in the area of Information Systems.

The MSc IS program is intensive and will provide candidates with a state-of-the-art knowledge and develop practical skills in the application of Information and Communication Technology.

The field of Information Systems has become increasingly important now that basic computerized network infrastructure is available to an increasing group of companies and organisations in Uganda.

There is demand for new possibilities to store, share and manipulate fast amounts of information within companies or between different companies.

Information Systems Engineers are now facing a challenging task to help the companies to identify and utilize the potential benefits that arise from this new situation.

Also Software Engineers with the computer science background primarily focus on the further building of the network and constituting systems. The Information Systems Engineers will focus on the business value that can be created for Ugandan Companies and Organisations by using computerize systems.
