The Department of languages

The department of Languages was approved by the University Governing Council in June 2006. It is an autonomous department under the Deputy Vice Chancellor's office.

Language is an indispensable tool in our day-to-day communication. It is crucial for our academic life as well. For without language we cannot venture into the world of research.

The study of English in particular has become a major quest for our academic life. The teaching of English across disciplines had proved very essential in our university and the nation in general. So these language courses are compulsory for all undergraduate students across faculties. They contribute to the degree point of the student.
