The alumni association, with more than 600 members, that is, graduates of Uganda Martyrs University, is geared towards turning the Nkozi (nostalgic) experience into tangible action on behalf of the university by promoting the university and providing financial support for students and the university, as well networking amongst members.

UMU graduates have a notable national and international presence in all parts of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, South Africa, USA, UK, Canada, and India, and it will be the intention of the association to maintain the connection no matter how many miles members are apart.

Becoming an active alumni member will strengthen your link to UMU and will help shape the way the general public thinks about our university and make better informed decisions about it. Activities of the association will involve events like Get-togethers, Conferences, Fund-raising, and so on.

As a member of the UMU Alumni Association, you will join 650 graduates and friends of the university in a relationship that lasts a lifetime. Your membership will help you expand your personal and professional contacts and connect you to an international network of current students, staff and graduates of UMU. This will give you opportunities to services and discounts not available to the general public. Current students are eligible to join the association.

Benefits of membership shall include: Library privileges, Internet Access privilges, free newsletters, access to the alumni directory which will updated annually, among others.
