The Pugliese Theological Faculty is an academic reality recently erected (2005) by the Holy See, through the Congregation of Catholic Education that brings together in a single entity the three institutes that have supported its foundation:
the Pugliese Theological Institute « Regina Apuliae » of Molfetta, (first affiliated to the Pontifical University of Southern Italy) the Institute of Ecumenical-Patristic Theology « Saint Nicholas » (first affiliate to the Pontifical University Saint Thomas « Angelicum ») and the « Santa Fara » Theological Institute (first affiliated to the Pontifical Athenaeum « Antonianum »).
The cultural traditions of these three institutes converge in the Pugliese Theological Faculty, showing the richness of a consolidated theological tradition.
