The jurist Raja SAKRANI (Germany) will give a short inaugural lecture on The question of otherness in classical Islam, as a preamble to the paper she plans to present at the conference in Beirut in 2022. Three members of PLURIEL’s scientific committee will respond to it according to the axes that have structured the elaboration of the congress: geopolitics, dialogue and citizenship.
We then propose a “focus” on the Lebanese context of our general theme “Islam and otherness”. A way to step into Lebanon already, while waiting for 2022. Finally, two Lebanese researchers, a historian and a Muslim theologian, will reveal their views on the Lebanese experience of “living together”.
