Pope Francis has appointed Isabel Capeloa Gil, IFCU President as consultant to the Dicastery for Culture and Education

According to the IFCU President, "it is a privilege to be able to serve the Holy See in its mission of empowering and enlightening humanity through education and culture."

Isabel Capeloa Gil was already consultant of the Congregation for Catholic Education, which, with the reform of the Curia, gave rise to a new organism, the Dicastery for Culture and Education.

The IFCU President will now collaborate with Cardinal D. José Tolentino Mendonça, former vice-rector of the Catholic University of Portugal and prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education.

The organism was born with the publication of the apostolic constitution "Praedicate Evangelium" on March 19, 2022, and assumes the missions previously entrusted to the Congregation for Catholic Education and the Pontifical Council for Culture.
